Lost in the Laundry

“It was just supposed to be laundry…”

Story

You’re asked by your mom to clean your clothes at the local laundromat. Nothing out of the ordinary…

You don’t think much of it, until your socks start going missing. You begin scouring through washing machines to find them.

It’s not harmful… right?

I’ll make it home with all the socks.

Controls

  • Navigate: Mouse (Left Click)
  • Interact: Spacebar

Gameplay Mechanics

QTE Minigames

  • Tug of War: Repeatedly press Spacebar to pull the sock toward you
  • Timing Stop: Press Spacebar at the right time as it cycles left and right
  • Balance Bar: Keep the indicator centered while it constantly shifts downward

Gremlin Emotions

Gremlins have different emotional states assigned at random when you open a washing machine. The difficulty of each minigame depends on their mood:

  • Leering: No minigame — free sock
  • Nonchalant: Easy
  • Sad: Medium
  • Angry: Hard

Rage System

Gremlins get frustrated when you take their socks and may call their Big Brother. After encountering a Gremlin, a Rage Meter appears on the left side of the screen. Each victory increases the meter depending on the Gremlin’s emotional state:

  • Nonchalant — 10%
  • Sad — 20%
  • Angry — 40%

You can reduce Rage by choosing not to open a washing machine, ignoring the Gremlins and letting them cool off.

Note: Saying no can still trigger a Gremlin to appear and attack.

Big Brother Gremlin

The smaller Gremlins grow frustrated when you take their socks. If the Rage Meter fills up, the Big Brother Gremlin appears with a unique challenge.

  • QTE encounter with falling socks and Gremlins
  • Catch 20 socks while avoiding Gremlins
  • Getting hit by 3 Gremlins results in failure
  • Win: Gain 1 sock
  • Lose: Lose 3 socks
